발라요

put on

Grammar

Rubbing water, medicine, cosmetics, etc. on the surface of an object is called ‘바르다’ in Korean. The pattern “~을/를 발라요” is typically used to express putting on a skincare or cosmetic product. The object marker “을/를” is placed after the word representing the product being applied. This pattern is commonly used in beauty-related contexts to describe applying various products on the skin or face.
